about aedifex
experts in pointing and restoration.
Aedifex Restoration Ltd are Manchester-based pointing specialists, delivering high-quality pointing, masonry restoration and repair works to historic and modern buildings across Manchester and Greater Manchester.
With a focus on traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques, we work with main contractors, housing associations and private clients to preserve and enhance the buildings that make Manchester what it is.
Our Services
Pointing
Failing mortar lets water in and weakens your brickwork. Our repointing service restores both appearance and protection. We use traditional lime mortar for period and heritage properties, and modern mixes where they suit. Every joint is raked out, filled and finished to match the original, leaving a clean, durable, weatherproof face.
Facade Cleaning
Bring tired building exteriors back to life. We remove years of dirt, algae and staining without damaging the surface. Our services include:
Brick cleaning
Paint stripping
DOFF cleaning
Ideal for commercial, residential and heritage buildings that need their original look restored.
Repairs
Cracked, spalled or crumbling masonry should be fixed before it gets worse. We carry out stone and concrete repairs, and structural work including crack stitching, wall ties and lateral restraints. Each repair is matched to the existing material, restoring strength, stability and appearance.
Waterproofing
Damp causes lasting damage to structures and finishes. We identify the source of the problem, then apply the right damp proofing or waterproofing solution to keep moisture out. The result is a dry, protected building, with the fabric of the property safeguarded against costly repairs down the line.
